January was a bit of a rough month for me, and I wasn’t able to get as much accomplished as I’d have liked, but this month I’ve been able to take several strides to some new stories. I’m always wary of saying too much about a story before it’s been released because sometimes progress stalls or plans don’t work out. If the world knew the number of stories I plan and develop that never make it out of the planning stage, you’d be embarrassed for me. Those things being said, I am working on the next Joan Hudson story. This one will be a lot more involved as I’m attempting some experimental formats in which to tell a fuller story of not just Joan but the people around her. It’s a slow process because I’ve already attempted the format a couple of times, but it needs more time and refinement. I’ve also started working on a reboot of an old series, but it’s taking time and a lot of words to get it the way I’d really like. Some might say I’m working on too much, and I’d probably be inclined to agree. Hopefully, soon I can reach some milestones in each of my projects, and be able to focus on one rather than several. -Claire |
